Battery Muster Roll
Early on the morning of August 25/64 Capt. Hotchkiss marched with a detachment of 2nd Minn. Battery. Marched as Cavalry by order of Maj. Gen. Steedman on a scout into Rhen County, Tenn. Marching 135 miles in three days. Captured one of Rebel Genl. Wheeler’s men near Washington & returned to this camp without sustaining any loss in men or animals.
