John I. Hopkins Died in Camp on the field Silas Howard Dischg'd.
Battery Muster Roll
Marched toward Murfreesboro and halted in front of enemy lines about Meridian. At 2 p.m. engaged the enemy skirmishers and drove them back on their main lines where after a sharp engagement right(?) put a stop to hostilities.
