Women's Work

The armies of North and South fought the war, but women filled many vital roles in society and even in the military. Women of the Second Minnesota Battery bring some of these unique roles to life through meticulous research to recreate what women of the 1860s experienced.

Each of these roles can be portrayed at events with displays and interpretation. Presentations for groups may be also available.
