Cannon Drill

     Those who serve on the Second Minnesota Battery’s gun for any firing are highly aware of the dangers that can happen in an instant. Training and practice kept gun crews of the 1860s safe and their drills still keep those serving the gun safe. The video presented here was filmed with the assistance of the Goodhue County Historical Society and recreates the official U.S. Army cannon drill of the 1860s.
